Anchor Ring

Snowy Air Vent

The idyllic old city district "Skata" is the part of Pietarsaari, which is preserved since the town was burnt in mid-1800s. There are many beautiful wooden houses and this is an air vent from one of them.

Hay Barn


During the Finnish Winter War in the 1940s, these barns were used by young men "forest guards"... deserted soldiers ... who hid away from the war. Punishment of those arrested were firing squad.
