Hay Barn

During the Finnish Winter War in the 1940s, these barns were used by young men "forest guards"... deserted soldiers ... who hid away from the war. Punishment of those arrested were firing squad.

I have absolutely no idea what it is.

I'm not that good in Finnish, but I have tried to translate what it says.
Imatra is a town ... and voima means strength, power.
Meri means sea and Pori is a town.
Outokumpu is is an international stainless steel company.

Runebergs cottage

The yellow house is Runeberg's cottage.
Johan Ludvig Runeberg (February 5, 1804 Pietarsaari - May 6, 1877, Porvoo) was a Finnish poet and Finland's national poet.
